This project developed the organisational capacity of GP clinics to deliver clinical placements to students by supporting the development of organisational systems and professional networks. The objectives were to quantify current and potential capacity, better understand the barriers to expanding clinical placements in general practice setting, to increase the number of undergraduate medical student placement opportunities (capacity) and to maintain and enhance the quality of the learning experience of students placed in general practices.
