This project provided suitable accommodation and a learning space for undergraduate students from a range of health professions including medicine, nursing and allied health, to facilitate increased student placement capacity in shared arrangements between Bass Coast Regional Health (BCRH) and other ‘non-public acute’ organisations in expanded settings such as community health, home-based community care and aged care. The project piloted an innovative videoconferencing model of supervision and support for both student and clinical instructor utilising telemedicine principles as the platform.
